With the end of excavations at our Wallsend sites, we are now moving into the post-excavation stage of works.

We are beginning to tie down the phasing and story of the sites by analysing the finds recovered and putting together the plans and records completed on site.

As with all stages of our work, WallQuest volunteers are working alongside professional staff in order to bring together the complete story of our sites.

The redisplay of the Roman bath house and the Buddle Street Hadrian's Wall has begun!

Teamforce Restoration Ltd have now arrived on-site to begin the work. It won't be long before Hadrian's Wall has two new attractions to see!

The current excavation at Arbeia has been running since 2009. During this time we have accumulated a large amount of finds, site plans, context recording sheets, and other data - all of which needs to be consolidated and pulled together into a written excavation report and other forms of output.

Although there is one more season of excavation planned on the site, we have now started the post-excavation work with the help of WallQuest volunteers.

Excavations have now finished on the site of the Hadrian's Wall (Buddle Street) site at Wallsend. Many thanks to our many WallQuest volunteers who helped uncover such an important site.

The next stage of the project is the post-excavation stage, during which we'll pull together the information recorded on-site in order to create a final published report of our our findings. As with all stages of the poject, this will also invovlve WallQuest volunteers.
